Portland, OR, April 2, 2014 – In recent years, Audinate’s Dante audio over IP digital media networking has transformed how companies manage and transport broadcast signals.
Heading into the 2014 NAB Show, Dante’s position as the market leading media networking solution is firmly in place. With more than 140 OEMs adopting Dante today, Audinate’s stature with television and radio broadcasters flourishes, as does their confidence that Dante delivers a robust, highly interoperable, low-latency, multi-channel distribution network. Easy to set up and infinitely scalable, Dante networks give broadcasters efficient means to integrate consoles, recording solutions, digital audio routers, microphone technologies, intercom systems and to bridge legacy MADI networks onto existing network architectures.
Nearly 30 Dante participating partners exhibiting at NAB will showcase transformational solutions moving from point to point MADI and analog connectivity towards the customer-friendly benefits of IP. Several companies will showcase Dante-enabled solutions, including AEQ, Focusrite, Harman Soundcraft/Studer, RTS/Telex, Shure, Solid State Logic, Sound Devices, Stagetec, and Yamaha.
The ability to leverage existing IT network architectures and off-the-shelf switches also helps broadcasters increase routing flexibility while minimizing costs. One recent example is The Arsenio Hall Show, which launched in September. The Dante networking solution at the show’s Los Angeles studio interconnects multiple Yamaha CL consoles, RIO stage boxes and several Focusrite Rednet interfaces to monitor, mix and record the production. With only a single Cat6 cable and some point-to-point fiber connections, engineers can flexibly route 160 high-quality audio channels.
“Dante’s plug-and-play simplicity, along with its robust, redundant architectures offers broadcasters limitless opportunities to scale systems,” said Lee Ellison, CEO of Audinate. “Our vast partner network continues to innovate, creating groundbreaking, interoperable products that give broadcasters the freedom to build the best-of-breed solutions they prefer.”
