From toms to cymbals to the booming bass, each kit is examined with loving care and the kit’s history is outlined for the reader, and features photos from classic rock photographer Mark Weiss, and included a Foreword by Carl Palmer and an Afterword by Eric Singer.

Written by award-winning technologist David Frangioni, Crash reflects his varied experience with drummers and musicians “If drums are the heartbeat of music,” says Frangioni, “This book is intended to be the heartbeat of drumming.”
