The new book features a visual journey through the world of drumming, capturing drum kits from musicians such as Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Carmine Appice, Neil Peart, Buddy Rich, Peter Criss, Alex Van Halen, Carl Palmer, and many more. From toms to cymbals to the booming bass, each kit is examined with loving care and the kit’s history is outlined for the reader, and features photos from classic rock photographer Mark Weiss, and included a Foreword by Carl Palmer and an Afterword by Eric Singer.
Written by award-winning technologist David Frangioni, Crash reflects his varied experience with drummers and musicians “If drums are the heartbeat of music,” says Frangioni, “This book is intended to be the heartbeat of drumming.”
A sound expert, Frangioni started his first MIDI consulting business at the age of 16 and has had a very successful career as a studio builder, technologist & recording engineer for some of the world’s leading artists.
