SINGAPORE – 7 July, 2016 – InfoComm International®, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide, has created new advisory groups in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively. With a mission to address local challenges in AV communities and provide resources to nurture member participation and support, the new groups are in addition to advisory groups in India and Australia, broadening InfoComm’s engagement in the Asia-Pacific region.

Representing diverse sectors of the industry, members of the Hong Kong and Singapore advisory groups work together to explore new ways to better serve the nuanced needs of InfoComm members in the countries. The participants come from manufacturers such as Biamp, Christie, Crestron, and Kramer, and Samsung, consultancies such as Hewshott and PTS Consulting, and system integrators like ESCO and Vega Global. Distributors and in-house technology experts from the University of Hong Kong, Morgan Stanley, and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group are also included.

“Advisory groups are an important platform for serving our members on a local level,” says Andy Tan, CTS®, InfoComm Regional Director for Asia. “Giving local industry leaders a voice not only brings us valuable insights to continuously improve our offerings as an industry organization, it also helps promote volunteer involvement and advance the industry as a whole.”
