BUENA PARK, Calif. (March 1, 2018)—The newly constructed 850-seat municipal-use Theatre Gilles-Vigneault in St. Jerome, Quebec City recently received a sound system installed by XYZ Cultural Technology (with offices in Quebec and Montreal) featuring a NEXO GEO S12 and ID24 speakers in the theatre and a Yamaha Commercial Installation Solutons (CIS) system for its foyer/lobby area.

“NEXO was included in the requirements list since the city of St-Jerome already had a similar NEXO system in a municipal theatre located at the local college,” states Michel Lapointe, Account Manager, XYZ. “Satisfied with the NEXO system at the other location, the city wanted a new system that would be compatible. The customer is very happy; the system sounds very natural.”

The three-level theatre includes 510 orchestra level seats, 20 lodge seats, 190 mezzanine seats, and 160 seats in the balcony. Primarily used for music, dance, comedic, and theater productions, the NEXO system is configured with 16 NEXO GEO S1210, 4 GEO S1230 and 2 NEXO LS18s flown as L & R clusters for the main PA, as well as 3 RS18 Ray Subs located in a central position under the stage, 4 NEXO ID24 speakers, 1 Yamaha MRX7-D processor, 3 NXAMP 4×4, and 3 NXAMP 4×1 amplifiers all running on a Dante network.

The Yamaha CIS system located in the foyer is connected to the theatre via Dante and is configured with 1 Yamaha MTX5-D processor, 6 Yamaha VSC4 speakers for the ceiling, 2 VXS5 surface mount speakers and 3 Yamaha DCP1V4S wall control panels. The CIS system was chosen for its Dante capabilities, unobtrusive style, and natural sound.
