Lawo is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Dosch as ‘Director of Virtual Radio Projects’, adding further expertise to Lawo’s radio business domain. With Dosch, the German audio console and video processor manufacturer welcomes a former competitor and renowned radio broadcast professional with many years of experience to fill that newly-created position.
Before joining Lawo, Dosch was the founder and president of Axia, a division of Telos. With its Livewire protocol, Axia pioneered the idea of IP-Audio networking technology using standard Ethernet infrastructure. This idea led to the transformation of radio studio engineering and became the foundation for more advanced networking protocols such as RAVENNA.
In his new post, Dosch will bring in his knowledge, experience and visions for driving new concepts and technologies for Lawo’s radio broadcast customers.
“While I was CEO of the Telos Alliance, I approached Lawo to discuss collaborating on IP audio,” states Dosch. “We agreed to have a ‘coopetition’, merging our IP audio efforts for the benefit of the industry. During this collaboration, I became quite impressed with Philipp Lawo and his company. I am delighted to be part of this innovative company that has proved to be a trigger of innovations in the broadcast sector.”
“We are very excited to have Mike join our team,” agrees Philipp Lawo, CEO of Lawo AG. “His broad knowledge of the industry and his ability to develop unconventional and promising visions and ideas to the benefit of broadcast customers make him a strong asset for us at Lawo.”
