Martin Audio North America has chosen the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, for its first post-pandemic Open Day on Tuesday, May 9.

The popular concert venue will host two sessions (a morning and afternoon event), based around a series of demonstrations and presentations featuring Martin Audio’s front-line PA systems.

In particular, they will showcase the entire line up of Wavefront Precision line arrays (WPL, WPC, WPS and WPM), TORUS constant curvature array (T1230, T1215 and T820) and XE stage monitors (XE300 and XE500).

Setting out the underlying reasons for the event, Lee Stein VP of Sales, North America, confirmed the importance of what will be the company’s first large-scale presentation since before the pandemic. “With all the new products we’ve introduced over the last few years, now that social gatherings are happening again, we wanted to give current and prospective customers the opportunity to experience them in their natural setting: a concert venue.

“The plan is to hold two events a year,” he continued. “The Spring event will change venues each year, but the aim is to hold the Fall event in Dallas every year.” That event is scheduled for October 3 at the Coppell Arts Center.

Meanwhile visitors can now register for the May 9 showcase, which will be hosted by Stein, in the legendary rural amphitheater, set in the woods between Baltimore and Washington DC where they will be able to sample a variety of tracks ranging from smallest format PA to largest in each of the three categories.

These will be variously presented by Martin Audio’s North America’s regional sales managers—including Brad Stephens, Jim Sage, and Martha Callaghan—supported by Joe Lima and Will Harris from the company’s North America’s Product Support Group.
