[ATTACH=CONFIG]201464.vB5-legacyid=14322[/ATTACH]Spurred by worldwide growth, Meyer Sound has announced a number of new hires and promotions, creating a technical solutions team that adds depth to the company’s respected global technical solutions and support program.

John Monitto, an 18-year veteran of Meyer Sound, has been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Technical Solutions. In his new capacity, Monitto heads Meyer Sound’s business development team, a group of key managers that partners with consultants and integrators to offer comprehensive project support from initial design through final commissioning.

“Over the years, John Monitto has continually demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise,” says John McMahon, vice president of solutions and strategy. “With Meyer Sound branching into new, exciting verticals, we’re confident that John will maintain the continued success of new projects and drive the industry-leading customer support that Meyer Sound is known for worldwide.”

Mac Johnson has been promoted from Constellation Program Manager to Manager of Technical Support, taking over leadership of the global technical support team. In a parallel move, Pierre Germain has been promoted to Constellation Design Manager, assuming leadership of the growing Constellation design team at a time when the acoustic system is expanding into new and exciting applications.

Andrew Davies joins Meyer Sound’s UK team, with responsibilities that encompass technical support, design services, and education. Davies was previously General Manager of Concert Sound (later Clair UK), and holds a degree in Sound Technology from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.

In addition, Michael Pohl has transferred from technical sales support to the technical support department at Meyer Sound Germany, while Brian Chow has joined Meyer Sound’s Asia-Pacific technical support team, based out of Hong Kong. Chow comes to Meyer Sound from Audio Dynamic, Meyer Sound’s Hong Kong dealer.

To reinforce Meyer Sound’s focus on the future of digital products, Tom Cavnar has been promoted to Senior Digital Products Support Specialist, while Rob Mele will take on a new role as Senior Digital Products Specialist. Both are based out of the company’s Berkeley, Calif. headquarters.
