Novi Sad, Serbia (September 2017): When Audiolab from Novi Sad called with a request for a custom sound system for Novi Sad’s Bar/Night Club Imperia, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy task.

“Imperia” is one of the oldest establishments of that kind in Novi Sad.
So whatever we come up with must perfectly blend with the interior.

Noise pollution was also a big problem for the club located in the heart of Novi Sad, surrounded with apartment buildings.

The goal was to achieve perfect sound with limited SPL which will sound so good that it does not need to be very loud.

What we came up with is two hangs of two small vertically array able boxes which will perfectly cover the dance podium but not spill much sound where is not needed.

2×4 inch plus 1 inch HF driver per box and 150W AES per box provided more than enough SPL to cover the needs.
One 2×12 inch 1200W AES subwoofer reinforces the low end.

Aesthetics were also crucial. Boxes were made with a vintage look to blend with the interior as much as possible.

“After very detailed acoustical measurements we managed to make the system perfectly blend with the club’s type of music material. Visually it is like they were always there from the club beginning back in 1991 ”, said Dejan Tatic, Audiolab’s owner.
