Los Angeles, CA… Beit T’Shuvah is a nonprofit treatment center and education institution dedicated to guiding individuals and families toward a path of living well in order to recover from addiction. T’Shuvah translates to repentance and return. Beit means house. Beit T’Shuvah, then translates to The House of Return. The Beit T’Shuvah faith-based model, founded on authenticity and wholeness, integrates spirituality, psychotherapy, Jewish teachings, the 12 Steps, and the creative arts. The Creative Arts program incorporates a full-fledged recording studio where students can record songs of their own creation, often times born out of the songwriting group. To help foster increased productivity, Mojave Audio, a company founded by David Royer (known for his work with ribbon microphones), has donated an MA-301fet condenser microphone to the organization.

In addition to the songwriting efforts of Beit T’Shuvah’s residents, the Mojave Audio MA-301fet will also be used to capture performances of the Beit T’Shuvah band, the Beit T’Shuvah choir, as well as performances by the theater arts group. The donation of the MA-301fet represents Mojave Audio’s commitment to foster a wide range of creative arts activities while helping Beit T’Shuvah further its goal of empowering a sense of belonging and purpose to everyone who seeks it.

Aaron Delug, who serves as both the studio manager and assistant music director at Temple Beit T’Shuvah, offered the following comment about the donation of the Mojave Audio microphone, “We were thrilled to receive this incredible Mojave microphone from Dusty Wakeman. So far, we’ve used it on a wide variety of instruments from upright bass to acoustic guitar to vocals, and it has really shined. What an incredibly versatile and sweet sounding microphone. Thank you again from all of us here at Beit T’Shuvah!”

Dusty Wakeman, President of Mojave Audio, echoed Delug’s enthusiasm, “All of us at Mojave Audio are happy to be associated with Beit T’Shuvah. This organization performs an invaluable service and, with its support of the fine arts, we see great potential for those in treatment to improve their situation and be involved in something they can be proud of. We wish everyone there the very best.”
