BUENA PARK, Calif. (February 1, 2016)—NEXO France will release two new 4-channel amplifiers at the ISE Show in Amsterdam. The DTDAMP4x0.7 and DTDAMP4x1.3 will partner with the new DTD Controller to create compact, lightweight, and low-cost powering solutions for the installation and touring SR markets.
The new NEXO DTDAMP4x0.7 and DTDAMP4x1.3 4-channel, 1U rack-mounting amps are available in 700 and 1300-Watt models (4×4 Ohms), each weighing in at just 16.5 pounds. Both models offer a high-efficiency Switch Mode power supply. Channels can be independently bridged two by two. Four Inputs are available via XLR with four outputs on NL4.
Road and rack-ready, the DTDAMP offers all the sensors and extensive protection that are deemed necessary for a professional amplifier, such as mains over/under voltage, over-voltage or DC output on each channel, short circuit, etc. And, the variable speed cooling system ensures a quiet and cool amplifier while the front to back cooling system ensures compatibility inside racks where both DTDAMP and NEXO high-powered NXAMPs are used together in large installations.
DTDAMPS can be used as generic gain blocks, but when combined with NEXO’s DTD Controller, they provide the perfect companion for PS boxes, LS subs, the new ID24’s, and small format GeoM6 rigs. Used together, they make a powerful 2U package for input and output control of smaller NEXO products.
The new DTD Controller is the first NEXO digital controller to combine the sonic quality of the NXAMP and compatibility with amplifiers from other manufacturers. The low-cost DTD delivers advanced speaker control processing in a compact, rack-mounting device, offering affordability and accessibility on most popular NEXO loudspeaker products by connecting them to amplifiers of every size and scale.
There are two versions of the DTD Controller, one for touring and one for installation, each available with the option to add a Dante input. Both touring and install versions are housed in the same low-depth rack-mount case with a universal power supply. The touring version has analog input and output connectors (XLR and NL4) on the front. The install version has all the connectors on the back panel, and a mini-USB on the front, which can be used to update firmware and download new presets. Audio can be streamed directly from any computer or Smart Phone for easy sound check or background music playback.
The unit includes an AES/EBU input (with sample rate converter from 44.1 to 96 KHz) on all versions as well as optional connectivity to the Dante™ network.
Typical NEXO DTD Controller applications are small rental companies and installations that want a compact and easy-to-use product with a high standard of sound quality and the ability to operate the unit without a computer. Designed for ease of use, DTD Controllers and DTDAMPS provide the smaller format NEXO product lines with enhanced functionality and increased value for money.
