Ft. Lauderdale, FL – April 2016… Synthax, Inc., the Americas distributor for RME, a leading manufacturer of high quality digital audio solutions, announces a special pricing promotion for RME’s popular microphone preamps as part of the company’s 20th Anniversary Celebration. Available now through May 31st only at authorized Synthax / RME Dealers in the USA, the RME microphone preamps promotion is an outstanding opportunity to acquire one of professional audio’s leading products at a temporarily reduced price.
The five models included in the Synthax / RME promotion include the RME OctaMic XTC, Micstasy and Micstasy M, as well as the QuadMic II and OctaMic II. The RME OctaMic XTC mic preamp is an 8-channel digitally controlled unit with support for multi-format I/O. The formats recognized by the OctaMic XTC include ADAT, AES/EBU, and MADI optical. All analog and digital inputs, including up to 64 MADI channels and 8 AES/EBU audio channels, can be freely patched to any output, including the 24 channels of its Class Compliant USB 2.0 audio interface format.
RME’s Micstasy is an 8-Channel high end mic/line preamp and AD converter. It can operate in the analog domain (Mic/Line In to Line Out) and digitally (Mic/Line In to Digital Out), with both signal paths operating simultaneously. The RME Micstasy M incorporates RME’s I64 MADI Card, which provides the preamp with 64-Channel MADI input and output capability.
The RME QuadMic II is a 4-channel microphone preamp that provides excellent signal-to-noise ratio, low harmonic distortion, and wide gain range. Each of the unit’s four channels features balanced microphone and line inputs with Neutrik XLR/TRS combo jacks, switchable 48V phantom power, phase reversal, and a low cut filter. Since the unit runs on supply voltages from 9 to 18V DC, it can operate on virtually any power source available, including batteries and rechargeable batteries.
The RME OctaMic II is an 8-channel microphone preamp with integrated analog / digital conversion capability. This mic preamp provides 8-Channel 192 kHz / 24-bit AD conversion with eight high class microphone and line level pre-amplification channels. Among its numerous features, the balanced TRS inputs of the Neutrik Combo XLR jacks are phantom power-free and can be operated as real line inputs. The improved design of the input circuits provides for a maximum input level of +21 dBu with a convenient gain range from 6 dB up to 60 dB.
Mathias von Heydekampf, Managing Director at Synthax, commented on the company’s latest promotion, “RME enjoys a world renowned reputation as a manufacturer of some of professional audio’s leading products—with the company’s mic preamps being recognized among the finest in the industry.
