Meyer Sound has received three more orders for its new LEOPARD™ line array loudspeaker system from Megasound Sonorisation in Switzerland, Aukes Theatertechniek in the Netherlands, and DMS PRO in Poland. The three European rental houses are the latest to join a growing list of companies to invest in the patent-pending LEOPARD and its accompanying 900-LFC low-frequency control element since the system’s debut in March.
“I realized at the demo that LEOPARD not only provided a remarkable listening experience but a new definition of live sound reinforcement,” says Denis Gaillard of Prilly-based Megasound. “Regardless of output level, the instruments in the music remain in perfect balance. The power, transparency, and phase coherence create a deep sense of space, even at the limits of the primary coverage area.” Adding to its Meyer Sound inventory of 70 loudspeakers, Megasound’s new order includes 18 LEOPARD loudspeakers, six 900-LFC elements, and a Galileo® Callisto™ 616 array processor.
Following his demo, Tom Aukes, managing director of Amsterdam-based Aukes Theatertechniek, ordered 12 LEOPARD loudspeakers and six 900-LFC elements. “LEOPARD’s great sound reproduction with no applied external processing demonstrates Meyer Sound’s capability of delivering fantastic products,” says Aukes. “And as word spreads about our LEOPARD purchase, the first requests are already coming in. Over the long term, choosing high-quality Meyer Sound products pays for itself in reliability and enduring value after many years of use.”
The third order came from Białystok, Poland-based DMS Pro, who purchased 24 LEOPARD loudspeakers and 10 900-LFC elements.
The LEOPARD loudspeaker and 900-LFC element are designed to create an exceptional listening experience across a variety of applications from rental to install and rock ‘n’ roll to classical. Boasting extraordinary power-to-size ratio with ultra-low distortion, an array of six LEOPARD loudspeakers with two 900-LFC elements can be flown using only a ½ ton motor. Each LEOPARD loudspeaker is optimized for an array of six cabinets or longer, with default low-mid array compensation for utmost simplicity out of the box. It also features a new, highly efficient class-D amplifier.
The sales to Megasound and Aukes Theatertechniek were facilitated by Meyer Sound’s Swiss distributor Tonspur AG and Dutch distributor Audio Electronics Mattijsen, respectively.
