Re: Good job guys

This is very very true... ironic isn't it, how hard it is to attract that first time customer looking for help with their first kick drum mic?

We already found Evan!

Re: Good job guys

Thanks to whomever was responsible for setting this deal up, I'm assuming that's at least part you Bennett

I'll try and come up with some provocative topics to post over the next few days. On the plus side, I don't really have to worry about asking something that's been already discussed and getting told that I need to search... Not for a while anyway

Re: Good job guys

Any thoughts about also creating a Wiki? Control Booth has one that is populated with a bunch of lighting-related topics. I keep thinking that would be a smart thing to have.

That would be huge! I suggested exactly this on the LAB quite a while ago, but given the lack of momentum on improving that site (right up until the new owners decided to drive it off a cliff,) nothing ever came from it. I, and a few smart guys I know, would be excited to help populate it, and it would be easy to distill helpful discussion topics down and include them as the copyright issues would be nil given joint ownership of both sites.

Suggested it too and was basically told the bosses didn't want it, didn't think it would be of any use. (Think how many posts (in terms of content) would have been archived in there before this happened... The irony would almost be funny if the whole mess wasn't so bad.

*EDIT* Eh, typos...

Re: Good job guys - Full Names

Just curious, is the full names requirement going to be kept? Or is it something that will be implemented in the future, never, or right now?

As I would definitely vote for full names right from the beginning as it truly does help to keep the forum professional.

Thanks,

Phil
