computer stupidity

Anyone any idea where the recycle bin goes when some fool (me) deletes it's icon from the desktop?

I know in win 7 you can get to it through my computer. It should be part of the bar on the left. I also think it is on the start menu

I should be so lucky!! its vista and I have a mass of audio files to remove or rather they are removed to the recycle bin but it would appear said bin has cycled off into the darkest reaches of this PITA laptop. G

I'm running XP and found Recycle bin info on the C drive under My Computer in the i386 folder if that's any help.

Here is the correct way to go by it. And mind you this is for Vista, right click on the desktop then click personalize, once there look to the left pane near the top and click Change Desktop Icons, this is where you choose which icons you want to appear on your desktop, close/OK out and you're all done.

Maybe the recycle bin is still busy trying to throw itself into the recycle bin?

Chris thank you very much that sorted it, Tim yeah I know windows7 though to be honest I really have very little issues with this computer that aren't directly related to me being an idiot which is depressingly often ( G
