I ordered an A&H case from an online dealer B-stock, I was told that it would be black and have the A&H logo on the outside. It has arrived and is a Spectrum case that is grey with no logo?? It came from the A&H warehouse supposedly......I called the dealer and he's looking into it....Any similar experiences with A&H?

When you say "generic" case, do you mean that it doesn't fit your console like a glove? Spectrum builds custom cases. If it was built for your console the fit should be perfect. If that is the situation, stencil A&H on the side if you want and count your blessings. You've got a terrific case. If the fit is anything less than perfect, get on the phone with your supplier and tell them to pick it up from you at their expense and send you the proper case, pronto.

Does this look like the right case? The space for the console is 10 inches wider than the actual console and there is a huge gap between the rear of the console and the dog house?

Re: What is an A&H ML case supposed to look like?

I did. Hopefully I can send it back and wash my hands of this. It was supposedly the last ML3000 40 case that A&H had...although the measurements seem to fit an ML4000 48 ch exactly :/

Have any of you guys ever used one of these cases? http://www.roadcasesusa.com/products/Heavy-Duty-Mixer-Case-with-Doghouse-and-Wheels.html

I know they are "budget" but might do nicely for us as we take care of our gear.

The only downside to spectrum cases is that when on the wheels the dog house sits right on the case lid. It doesn't "float" on hard foam or anything. The console has a thick piece of neoprene between it and the dog house. All the vibration riding in the truck is transferred to the console through the wheels. I spent two days a month digging screws out of the case and putting them back. Other than that they are right up there with R&R.
I prefer to have the doghouse and a plywood panel attached as one piece floating inside the foam with the console on top. It's heavy but very reliable.

Also, fwiw, judging from your picture, the dealer not only sent you the wrong case, they sent you a "C" stock, not a "B" stock.
I hope they straighten this out for you to your satisfaction.

Re: What is an A&H ML case supposed to look like?

Well....I finally ended up having a case custom made by hybrid cases. I spent all day today stenciling it :) The only problem is that as you can see in the pic, 2 wheels were on the tray and two wheels were on the lid. I had to build a caster board so that the lid will stand up.

Re: What is an A&H ML case supposed to look like?

I have never seen that done by a case maker before. What the heck were they thinking?? Even the case for my GL2200 has a full castor board attached to the lid. You do not want wheels on the case bottom once the lid is removed. I would have returned the case and made them do it correctly. That's just crazy...

Re: What is an A&H ML case supposed to look like?

At the very least I would have them send you a proper castor board and the hardware and instructions to install it yourself if you don't want the downtime and don't mind doing a little work.
