DSP

Re: DSP

Hey Brandon,
What needs are you looking to meet with this DSP? At under $1k, I think it's more about picking one that does what you need it to do best, rather then picking one that is an all around favorite. On my short list would be a Xilica XP-4080 which sells new around $1100. I find it to be a fairly flexible, intuitive and powerful DSP for the money. I had a DBX260 at one point though that did a great job for a simple SRX715/718 rig... but the Xilica allowed me to do more, be more flexible and was simpler to use *for me* with only the front panel controls in fast paced, real world situations. As a go to, I would choose the Xilica... but if you're shopping for a solid DSP that will do a simple rig like an SRX combo, it might be a waste of a few hundred extra bucks.

I think if you identify what your potential needs are, choosing something to fit will be much easier for you.

Depending on how many I/O's you need, I like the DBX 480. 4 in's 8 outs, front panel access and software access. Used can be had in your price range. The DBX 260 if your needs are less.
