I am looking for a U.S source for some of these adapters. A few lights I have use these waterproof connectors on them. Is anyone familiar with these ends maybe I just dont know the proper name to do a Google search but I am having trouble coming up with anything. Please let me know if you have any info that might be helpful thanks.

Try DJ Equipment | DJ Lights | Speakers and Amplifiers | Fog Fluid |Stage Lighting | LED lighting | Stage Trussing | Aluminum Truss | DJ Gear. In the "LED PARS" section I think they have cables with those connectors. Looks like they may be sold out of the Edison adapters, but you could just buy an extension cable, hack the end off and install a male edison.

Re: Waterproof AC cables ?

Not if you want to retain the IP65 rating

If you're using something with an Edison end it should be plugged into a dry location anyway. And besides, if Ben is plugging it into a standard "production" grade extension cord, thats going to have a non-molded edison end as well. If he wanted to go nuts, lowes and most boating $upply $tore$ have weatherproof Edison connectors.

He's washing a waterfall. So the first light in the chain will certainly be in the dry, but the rest won't be.

Re: Waterproof AC cables ?

Do any of the colorado series have the pigtails that necessitate a screw on waterproof connector though? If so what version? The other cable Tom mentioned apparently does not fit the fixtures I have.

Ok. But what I was suggesting is buying one of the ip65> ip65 extension cables and hacking the "male" end off and replacing it with an Edison to plug into the power source in a dry location, them take the female ip65 connector to the first fixture and daisy chain them all with the ip65's. I didn't mean to replace all the fixtures with Edison connectors.

Reason I said that is because cheaplights was sold out of the Edison to ip65 adapters if that's what Ben needed.

Ben, I think I've seen those connectors referred to as "T" or "Tee" connectors. That might be a good start for a google search. I think they use a smaller 2 pole version for rope lights.

Re: Waterproof AC cables ?

Yeah they will be well out of the way of the actual falls but exposed to the rain. The cheaplights thing seemed perfect but after talking to the salesman looked like it was not the same connector. I will try to T search. Hoping not to shell 30+$ on the chauvet extension cables but if it comes down to it might be my only option at this point.
