Midas pro 2- graphic eq quick access ?

Hi,

This is a really specific question about pro 2; i'm unaware of a midas forum like there is for avid.. if there is please point me to it.

I use advanced navigation and to bring up an effect, I can press FX then select the aux which feeds that effects device and it comes up front and centre on the screen. I'd like to discover something similar for graphic eq ie like the attached pic.

If I press GEQ and select the aux, I get the graphic eq on the vca/group faders - which is nice but i'd like to get screen support as well. This doesn't happen.

Best I can tell, I press effects/graphic button to bring up the rack; use the up & down key to find the graphic I want then press enter to bring it up full screen. However if I then change my selected aux, then the screen doesn't change as well (but the faders do).

Am I missing something or is this a feature to be requested ?

I know I could email Midas direct but thought i'd ask here first.

Advanced mix bay navigation – press the GEQ button. When you select the Master or AUX you want to EQ it will put the GEQ on faders. Other than that you can use an iPad as a second screen for your GEQs. .... New firmware is about to be released ...

I was under the impression that on the home screen, if you select the Mix, then click on the little picture of the GEQ it brings up an overlay with the currently selected Graphic on, you can then select other mixes and it will follow your selection.

I'll verify this on the weekend but i'm pretty sure I tried changing selected mixes and the graphic didn't change. yeah you can use the trackball and click on screen.. i'm trying to avoid using the ball and get to know the surface better rather than menu.

You are requesting that the GEQ display works in the same way as the FX navigation feature, i.e. when you select an Aux which gas a GEQ assigned, that GEQ appears maximised on the screen in the same way as the FX devices do.
Currently the visual support for the GEQ is displayed on the faders.
The current software version does not do this, however, it is an excellent suggestion and is consistent with the PR0 series workflow.
We are constantly adding new features to our consoles via software updates, and I will add this to our development process.
Thanks for your valued feedback.

Market is over 5k. It was a pain in the butt for me to configure and has been used sparingly, but I could see how it'd be a great tool for doing a ton of monitor mixes.
