The Audio Auction

Re: The Audio Auction

We use it as a store front window.... when we're interested in something we just call Frank and chat with him.

Never used it to sell stuff, though. Let us know how this works out for you.

Re: The Audio Auction

5 or so years ago they had a big sale (I think they promoted it as "Blue Moon Sale" or something). I bought 10 cheap Shure SM48s and 10 AKG535s off them. The SM48s never arrived but happily the 535s did. One 535 was faulty on arrival and I sent it back. It was never replaced or credited (nor were the 48s). A second 535 went noisy after a month (I still have it). Numerous emails to Frank elicited no response. I guess he treats his US customers better as I haven't seen anyone else whining about bad dealings with him. The remaining 535s (although battered) have been rock solid and were not too expensive so I'm simply grumpy, not furious.

A client I sold a speaker system to bought a bunch of amplifiers from them a few years back. He appeared to be happy with his purchase.
