Thanks Sean, I did call that number for the CARE team and found out that the 3 yr warranty only applies if you register your new amplifier within 30 days otherwise the warranty is only 1 yr. That part i didn't see in the advertising, just the big bold 3 yrs, my mistake. Since it is inside the 3 years but outside the 1 yr and now not in warranty I called the nearest service center in Chicago who told me that by the time I paid for shipping it to them, paid them for parts and fixing it, and paid for shipping it back I could buy a new one.......... how do they have any business???? I guess its all over now, thanks for your input, if I ever buy a boat I already have an anchor.

You can pick up the amp BRAND NEW for $350. Just shipping the unit 2 ways is probably going to run you around $40. Factor in the time for a technician to troubleshoot and fix the problem, and then any parts needed for the repair and you'll soon see that no, repair on low cost items like that are not economical.

Providing service manuals for cheap electronics isn't the norm. When it dies, it dies. Get a new one. That's how things work these days.

OK, update people, I decided I needed the amp too much and called the music-group rep from above and we worked it out to everyone's benefit. They were great to work with and very fair. They fixed the amp and got it back right away. A word of advice is to register all new equipment and keep all paperwork. I'm a happy Behringer customer now who plans on getting more equipment from them and the Music Care Group is THE place to go for repairs!

Which diodes? I have spent 5 hours checking every single diode and transistor in the Nu4-6000 and every single junction checks good; not open, not shorted and the meter turns all of the junctions on. Could the protection circuit be faulty? Why can’t Behringer help a little by suggesting where to look. By the way, I have repaired hundreds of amplifiers except this one.
