Re: Blink-182 Sub config

Most likely, Dave Rat's "Y" fire dual end fire sub array. It uses a common back element for 2 (or 3) front elements.

Possibly the array he referred to as a vortex on his blog. If so there are three more boxes in the back that can't be seen for four stacks of three boxes.

Re: Blink-182 Sub config

I think that helped bring an end to touring artists bringing in their own PA Systems. Apparently the neighboring hood aren't fans of music.

Dave cares a lot about that first arrival, and keeping the subs in time with the mains for the largest audience area, possibly at the expense of coverage. His latest setups also get him a measure of directionality, which I find is rarely un-wanted.

Re: Blink-182 Sub config

What they're trying to achieve in that scenario with the TM array is completely different than what Dave Rat did with the Blink sub array. In the TM array, they're trying to get 360 degree coverage and tight vertical pattern control which is the opposite of what the blink array is doing. With the Blink array, delays are used on the different spokes to steer the energy off the stage and out into the audience area. And vertical pattern control is not desired. The idea is that the pattern goes up into the upper seating of a given stadium or arena.
