Bose Tonematch TS8 digital clipping

I’m hoping this is the correct place for this…
I’ve been very intermittently using a Bose Tonematch T8s in tandem with a Bose Pro16 L1 for a few year - both purchased new.
Recently when using there has been a harsh digital clipping sound happening when the audio is at its loudest but all the channel inputs are ‘green’ and the output is green (I also tried when very low level)
It’s there when the backing, vocal, bass and guitar inputs are there but not there if any one of those inputs is silenced. It’s not any specific one that’s causing it but it’s there when they’re all together.

Is there a hard reset I can perform on the desk or are there any other explanations for this ?
I’ve tried swapping around inputs to no avail.

Listen to the headphone output, if it is clean, the problem is in your Bose Pro16 L1.

Yes, you are probably hard clipping/limiting the speaker system.
The 16x2" speakers have less output potential than a single 8" speaker, and only have 250 watts driving them.

At the claimed 118dB level, the drivers would have to move 6.8mm peak to peak, a lot for a 2" driver, not much for an 8".
Look at the Pro16 L1 signal/clip indicator, turn down its input if it is going red.

Sounds like a horribly distorted Bose speaker/amp system.
