Upgraded my old Shures with sensaphonic molds - great for the plane now as I'm listening at much lower volume and sounds better.

If your IEMs didn't come with a case, what are you using to store them, and what do you use to clean them? I use mine mostly for travel for MacBook/Iphone music/video, although may start to use them with the Rolls unit as a RPMIEM (really poor man's IEM)

Thanks.

Re: Cleaning/storing IEMs

I keep a receiver and its set of earbuds in a mic pouch.

Most buds come with a cleaning tool for the canal way. Wipes for the molds.

Re: Cleaning/storing IEMs

I use hypo allergenic baby wipes with no alchohol for the exterior. I think the alchohol wipes slowly degrade the material until it becomes brittle.

I use the "Audiologist's Choice - Audio Wipes" which are a non-alcoholic product.

as noted by audiologists and iem manufacturers, alcohol can and will dry/deteriorate the molds over time.

Depends on which molds you have as to if alcohol is safe. For example UE recommends antiseptic wipes (basically alcohol wipes). Other manufacturer's softer materials might not hold up well.
