With this year’s appropriately-timed Valentine’s Day release of Desire, I Want to Turn Into You, Caroline Polachek’s fourth solo studio album, the former Chairlift singer-songwriter is in the midst of her Spiraling Tour, which kicked off with a European and UK leg in February. In April, the North American run of the tour hits the road in Philadelphia and will traverse the continent before wrapping up at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on May 20.
For the duration of the trek, FOH engineer Mikey Weiland and monitor engineer Kaan Kurt are both manning their mixes on a matching pair of DiGiCo SD12-96 consoles sharing a single SD-Rack loaded with 32-bit I/O and connected via Optocore. The control complement for the EU/UK run was supplied by London-based Stylus Productions, with Clair Global providing the same kit for the US/Canada theatre-auditorium trek, which features a rotating lineup of opening guests, including Alex G, Ethel Cain, Sudan Archives, Magdalena Bay, George Clanton, and Toro...
