I did a 2 deep end-fire today below a stage with no clearance above the subs (approx 1 cm). Worked reasonably well, they were under two 2x3m catwalks angled 45 degrees outwards on each side. Coverage was even ish (I had to cover 180 degrees and had nowhere to place the subs and I couldn't fly them). Cancellation towards the rear seemed good, but I didn't have time to do any detailed measurements.
Subs were JBL S28 driven by Crown V-Racks.
