Re: EV SX250 heads up.

Are these speakers made in China? I believe when the SX250 first came out they were made in the US and in later years went to China.
Are the China ones just as good as the US ones?

Re: EV SX250 heads up.

I had some older ones and ones purchased new not too long ago. I couldn't find any difference in build quality or sound quality. I had an issue with one of them over the course of 3 or 4 years of going out on dry rentals as well as my own use. Wasn't even a huge deal. I think one of the resistors broke free on the amplifier module.
Mine have since been installed in a small club and are running day in and day out.
The amplified ones are not the lightest speaker on the market. Thats why I eventually switched.

Sorry to possibly contribute to a zombie thread, but the SX250s are on sale again at MF for even less this time. If you call in and inquire about a coupon, you can get 10-15% more off. My second pair is on the way. Killer cabs at a killer price.
