8. Do I need to “Break-In” my cables?

You may listen to your cables directly out of the box and get most of the performance immediately. However, it will take approximately 1 day for the cables to mechanically settle after they have been moved or set up for the first time, which can have an effect on the sound. Some users do report a need for our cables to "break in" over time to achieve the optimum performance. Customers must make their own decision as to how long is necessary to "break in" the cables, but do not hesitate to listen to them immediately.

Re: FS: 3 ft. Cable for $2750!

Now I'm going to have to start setting up a day early so my cables "mechanically settle"

You could buy "cable cookers" that will speed up that process for you. They send a "special" signal down the cable and force the electtrons to "line up" properly.

Hey-I don't make this stuff up.

But you need to also allow time for the gear to "adjust" to the room temp and humidity.

Nah, you won't get the gig. How can you compete when i've got transparent cables ?

I've not downloaded their recent price catalogue but the one I got a few years ago had interconnects at over $20,000 for a few metres.

Of course after I spent that much on cables, I could only afford behringer speakers. But that will still sound better than a d+b rig with powercable used as speaker cable right ? <grin>

Andrew

PS: Oh and don't forgot to get those little stands for your cable - I forget what they are called but look like a small tripod, stem, U shape top with elastic band between the points of the U. Idea is you don't want your cables on the ground where vibrations coud affect them. run then instead suspended off the ground.....

I've heard of "Cable Cookers" I think there was a link to one sometime ago on PSW.

Re: FS: 3 ft. Cable for $2750!

I'm going to replace all the NL4 in my venue with this stuff. I'm sure the customers won't mind paying the $30 extra per ticket price after hearing the amazing audio quality these cables provide. It would be a way better investment then that D&B rig we've been thinking about.
