Fire alarm was an issue. Black tie Christmas dinner, large construction company CEOs and state congressmen eating dinner and listening to speeches. Hotel head-of-maintenance assures me that haze has been used many times and won't be an issue. Band starts, I hit the Radiance for one short 3 second burst at 90%. Alarms go off and they have to empty the hotel. Hotel paid the fee since it was their error. Explained it to the PIC later and still get hired the next few years, but I was always aware of the alarms after that and NEVER used it again.
If the alarms sense smoke particles, you are done. There are no work arounds for this except to turn them off and have a fireman on duty while they are disabled.
