Help Wanted - sound technician

Entertainment Sound Production, located in Silver Spring, Md near Washington DC, is looking for a new live sound technician. This is a job for a person who is new to the sound business but that has a keen interest in working toward becoming an accomplished audio engineer. Previous work experience is not required but previous interest in in the field from school or other activities is ideal.

We work on a VERY wide variety of shows -
• from large corporate events to folk music concerts
• from rallies in front of the US Capitol for half a million people to high level government conferences
• from gospel music church revivals in sports arenas to jazz concerts in symphony halls
• from concert performances by leading Broadway singers to musical theatre productions
- and a few other types of shows too. This is NOT a touring rock & roll sound gig.

What we look for in the right person for this job

• An eagerness to work well with everyone in our company without office politics or drama.
• An absolute commitment to doing the best possible job for our customers
• Good people skills to work with and direct other technical vendors, IATSE crew and freelance crews to accomplish the over all job.
• A willingness to learn the about the set up and operation of audio systems
• Able to drive non-CDL box trucks up to 26 feet long and able to obtain a DOT medical card for driving commercial vehicles
