I’m restoring a pair of Dahlquist DQ-20. I decided to break down the tweeters and I’m glad I did. The ferrofluid was closer to sludge residue than fluid. I’m ready to add fluid, but I’m not sure how much to add. Is the goal to ensure the full depth of the coil is surrounded by fluid? Less than is better? Fill the entire cavity? I really haven’t a clue.
How much ferrofluid to use?
