JBL has v5 settings for Lab amps? I don't think this is true. I'd recommend looking for Crown 12000HD amps ONLY.

What truly makes V5? If the transfer functions line up... is that close enough?
Enhanced FIR processing (resulting in a much smoother top end), better limiting settings, probably other stuff that I don't know about - and it's been a while since I've used a non-v5 rig.
You can make a transfer function line up at any level. However, it's at show level is where the benefits of v5 become really apparent.

Went the 3500x4 route and very happy, recommendations on the x, 60, or 80 functions as to what preset everyone likes?
