These were all over Wisconsin about the same time. You still see them on the walls of bars hooked to the juke box. I never understood what marketing director could connect "Bullfrog" and quality sound but as the speakers didn't connect with quality sound either, maybe it was appropriate. FWIW What is now NZ's largest S/R company started their business off hawking a bunch of these around the country

Now before we all start jumping on the piezo bandwagon-there are some pretty famous companies that have used them.

Including: Meyer-Northwest sound-Community and others I am forgetting.

When used properly (like any sound product) they can work OK and do the job. And like all sound products-when used wrong-the product gets blamed everytime.

Give 3 people a hammer-one will build a house-one will build a piece of furniture and the third will hit his thumb and blame the hammer!

That's pretty weird alright. Form-factor wise, it might have fit in more easily with some of the stranger home speaker designs of the mid to late 80's. That guy's probably not going to move it at his asking price.
