It wasn't a stage. A video wall came loose and collapsed onto 4 crew members..

Edit: I have a friend on the crew down there.. He just posted on FB that one person died of injuries

I heard the the LED wall was attached to the truss with cheeseboroughs and NO SAFETIES!

While the use of safety cables *might* have prevented the equipment from falling, the fact remains that the suspension structure was either improperly designed or improperly assembled (or both). Properly designed and assembled suspension structures do not fall (unless they are intended to, e.g. certain effects, and those fall in a controlled manner).
