Hi guys
We got our first show with the new PA and was wondering if anyone has the FP series of amps
I like these on my 15s and horns (JBL 2446)
I have my gains at 32db but was wondering about clip limiter and MLS setup..
Thanks for your help
John

I would always suggest using a clip eliminator (when available).

Yes I would use the MLS to match your cabinets ratings.

Of course-not having any idea what the cabinets are rated at-how they are run (biamp or passive) etc does not help in offering any suggestions on settings.

It would also help to know how hard you run your cabinets. Do you plan on slamming them hard with low crest factor material or doing light jazz?

I set the gain to 32db
Clip limiters on
MLS at zero
Tops are bi amped
15s are 2000w program
15's are 2000w program
2446 are 150w program
The MCL PD218 are 2800w program
MCL PD124 are 2000w program

What impedance are the drivers? Are they in parallel or series?

I would definitely drop the MLS on the HF.

What are the MCL PD218/PD124 hooked to?

4ohm on the MCL 215 tops
Two 218s per channel (2ohm) on a powersoft k8
One 218 and one 124 (2.7ohm) per channel on a lab gruppen fp6400

Is the "2000 watts program" you listed earlier for each driver or for the cabinet?

Sorry to have so many questions, but DETAILS ARE important-if you want accurate answers.
