Line level Isolation

Re: Line level Isolation

Yes, but keep in mind with transformers it's all about magnetic flux density. I have seen transformers built inside the barrel of an XLR to convert 600 ohm Hi-Z mics down to be compatible with low Z mic preamps (actually 1/4" jack on one end and XLR the other). The signal levels were smaller so the modest core size available was harder to saturate. For line level, a good rule of thumb is that a transformer that small will not handle very LF.

These days hi_z microphones are not very common and perhaps better used as weights for deep sea fishing. :-)
