LM26 failure

I had a LM26 failure today at a gig. It was working okay after I set up the PA, but died during stage setup. I've metered the power feeding it and it reads as normal, except a slight unbalance phase-to-earth. Nothing unusual in downtown Oslo.

It's gone black, no light in the power button. All I hear is a slight crackle when I plug in the power cable, but not more than you normally hear.
Anybody else experienced this?
Is there something I could do to troubleshoot it here at the gig?

It's not the end of the world for this gig, PA is run off a PLM, so I've just lost the frontfills.

Hello again Helge. :)

I had the pleasure of demoing a LM44 a while ago and had the panel go black on me as well. I removed the front panel (easy) and the only wiring attached to it is a ribbon cable. In my case it had completely come out and reattaching it made the unit work perfectly.

Hopefully you'll find something as simple:
