Locking IEC Euro spec vs USA

My last batch of powered boxes came with locking IEC cables as commonly seen in North America. They also came with a set of Locking IEC with European connectors. My thought was to lob off the ends off these cables and toss on some 15a edisons so I have some spares. Looking closely at the cable, the european version looks to be a bit thinner. Also I don't recognise any of the markings on the cable. This is what is on the cable for anyone who can decipher.

Any good reason I can't do this? Basically curious if this cable is rated for 15A.

Euro cords are smaller because they are presumed to be used at 240V, which means 1/2 the current of our 120V. I've done a similar thing to the C19 cables that came with my ITechs - I've saved the original 5-20P versions, and have cut the Euro plugs off and put Powercons on, which is my distribution method of choice. Since the cable is so short (therefore not much voltage drop) and I don't bury my amps in clip mode, I haven't worried about it and have experienced no ill effects. I would guess that your powered speaker application would be similar.

Someday I'll probably order some 12-ga C19 cords to do it a little bit better, but haven't gotten around to that yet.
