Locking RJ45 outlet cover?

I'm looking for a low-profile 1-gang outlet cover that still allows cables to pass through. We have a pair of RJ45 outlets, one of which is always in use, the other of which is mostly unused. My superior has asked that we find a way to close it off so that only authorized individuals can get access, and to prevent unauthorized access to our network.

I'm not expecting something shatter-proof, but a flip-cover that can be padlocked and allows the cables to pass through is the goal. Low profile/discreet black/white would be ideal. Thanks in advance for recommendations!

Re: Locking RJ45 outlet cover?

If it's a single-gang wall plate, I'd use a standard outdoor "in use" cover. Most can be padlocked, and there are some low profile (expandable) options available these days. You'll probably need a Decora mounting frame to stick the keystone jacks into, though. You can also get the outdoor non-in-use style covers with padlock features, but those won't allow a cable to pass through
