Luminair for iPad / iPhone

I saw a post elsewhere and wanted to start a specific thread on Luminair in the hope that some other users would start a discussion here.

I am currently using Luminair on my iPad with an ENTTEC Ethernet/DMX interface and a dedicated Apple Airport Extreme. The system has been working perfectly with no drop outs.

first post here. I have just recently got luminair for my home Halloween show. I've yet to set it up properly, however I have run a few fixtures together and had a play with it. I love it, easy to set up and run fixtures. I'm no networking expert and this is my first time ever with DMX lighting, but within an hour I had things working.

As I will only use it now and again from home, I went for the cheaper enttec open USB and run it via my iMac using l'companion. In hind site, I wished I had gone for the extra expense of the pro version and router set up.

My only quibbles with luminair is having to scroll back and forth to adjust fixture settings, and the PDF manual could be a little more user friendly with examples of setting up. There's not a great deal on the Internet at the moment. However one particularly good video is by the drummerconnection (Eric Rosebrock), a self admitted DMX amateur who shows how easy it is to set up a light show on the fly. Video is great quality too.

The guys at Synthe FX are always helpful and reply to emails quickly.

Chauvet Hurricane 1300 fog machine

On order is an American DJ Mr Kool fog machine and on a wish list is an eurolight moving head spot.

Zombie thread... Back from the dead... About to become a Luminair user. Been pouring over the net looking for how to setup fixture profiles and... Well it seems like hard information is hard to come by. I have some 16 channel multi head fixtures mixed with Chauvet slim pars. Have the DMXKing eDMX1 on order and an airport express handy... Any advice on setting up those mutli heads ? I did download lCompanion on my utility macbook if that is a help. No doc came along for the ride though.
