Without a doubt the J2 is an outstanding speaker.
Looking at the video it seems there is very few people within 30/40 feet of it in the front. (Just a guess) Although its great to shoot for the moon as far as distance is there a point were the spl is so great in front as it takes away from the goal? All the videos show great distance but is the spl too great in front?
I wouldn't want to be 20-30 feet in front of a speaker doing 140dbs.
I do wonder if the phase-quality of sound of the J2 makes this a non issue? Or if the speaker is flown instead of ground stacked as in this video. As in it throws better and maintains a quality sound even with a some what loud spl close to the speaker? What were the people in front subjected to spl wise for the speaker to throw that far in the videos?
Whats the take on listening to this speaker up close trying to throw that far?
