As long as you're not planning to transcode to something else later, I've found 192kbps MP3s to be perfectly adequate, and they have more fidelity than I've ever been able to reproduce through a PA.

Maybe you need a better PA? HA-HA

You apparently work in different circles than I do - Most of the time I am glad when I can hear my Gunness-Focused EAWs over the RT-60 of the room. Or has Danley fixed that, now too? :roll:

Next year, on April 1, Danley Sound Labs will introduce the "Tapped Sponge" RT-60 adjuster, and the following year it will be introduced as a plugin for the new Yamaha digital consoles, insuring their market viability. Sure, yeah, that's the ticket!
