I was curious as line array is the big thing and LCR is not out of the question. .
What about 2 15" Fane sovereign pro 600 and a B&C ME 60 horn with a JBL 2446 in a MTM for either traditional horizontal array or small LCR vertical array
Not sure what the distance for quarter wave if crossing say around 1000-1200hz

Or is this a ridiculous thought??

Wavelength = Speed of Sound divided by Frequency, so for 1000Hz you have 344/1000 or 0.344m (approx, the exact speed of sound varies with temperature, humidity and I think atmospheric pressure too).
Quarter-wave therefore = 0.086m, so there's no way you're getting the centre of a 15" driver within quarter wave of anything else at that frequency.
The ME60 is 0.237m tall so the closest you're getting the centres of the MF & HF drivers (even if the chassis of the 15" touches the horn) is 0.312m, which is a quarter wavelength of approx 275Hz.

David.

Yorkville did it, but it was a 3-way. There are mids and a Hi-frq driver in that horn.
