Multiple console's outputs into a single power amp input?

Outputs from two desks and graphs "Y'ed" into a single power amp. What could possibly go wrong? I know some amps have switches that will allow summing both inputs right on the back for bridged or dual mono use but I need to use both channels for two different wedges mixes.

You're loading one output stage with another. Overall, not a good idea.

A resistive summing box, such as the one that Rane details here: http://www.rane.com/note109.html is a much better approach if you can't use an active summing device (mixer).
