Even after my unpleasant early experiences with Behringer products, I must admit that while there is so much appealing about the X32 -the feature set at it's price point -I keep having the "Bitch Stewie" episode of Family Guy come to mind.

I keep imagining the console ending up like Bitch Stewie and Bitch Brian at the end of the episode. Google "Bitch Stewie" watch the final scene.

I'm eager to see how the PRO manufacturers respond to the X32's obvious acceptance (should it not end like Bitch Stewie).

Damn... I started _ANOTHER_ X32 thread. I suck. Back to me being annoyed with all the X32 threads here...

Happy New Year All!

Did you pick up one of 'em?

I'm going to move this thread to 'Product Reviews'. We'll see if Bennett moves it back :)

No Dave, I really can't bring myself to buy one. I'd love to see it face a "Bitch Stewie" demise, and the outcry from everyone who jumped into them. I'm more eager to see if it becomes a real game changer, and brings the real Pro Sound manufacturers (beyond the Mackie, Line6 and Presonus MI-ish stuff) to introduce a product with similar bang for the buck for the JV market.

One thing that might happens is smaller touring bands can carry their own and rentals for LS-9's,M7's and the like will dwindle.

I'm seeing the CL3 replace LS/9 and M7 as band-carried monitor desks. We've had a couple through in the last month.

Will be interesting to see when/if the X32 starts showing up... but I expect it (or its rack-mounted, remote controlled brother) to start replacing the 01v96s and StudioLive mixers that are stuffed into the IEM RF racks.

I agree the rack mount models will probably work well for low budget Inear systems. For actual mixing not so much... Although having mixed on the LS9 and M7 many times.. The 32 suits me better. Now that I finally got my iPad working I am looking forward to some clean and easy corp shows.

Ya but you get "neve plug ins". Which don't work half as well as the febreeze ones Lol

:)

I'm sure it's a better desk, but in my mind there is still no Yamaha LS9-32 replacement. 32 channels w digital snake for 10K.

That's what makes the GLD and PRO desks look appealing.

I've used, owned, and appreciate Yamaha consoles but they have a big hole in their lineup that is going to be filled by other manufacturers.

If they were to do, say, an LS9-ES (or preferably the Dante version) it may get the job done...

Re: My X32 Thread (the Bitch Stewie thread?)

I think a lot of X32's will meet a bitch stewie demise based on the environments and end users coupled with the build quality. I watched a musician dump an uncased vintage Rhodes upside down onto the floor last Friday night and then act really confused when he turned it on and it emitted a loud low moan of pain sound from the speaker. I think you'll probably see a lot of club touring acts with these in cheap ill fitting cases with sheared off knobs and dead faders.

Awesome.

I really want the full on melting. Warrantee claims on pickle jars full of Behringer soup.
