Hi everyone,

I recently came across a fantastic web app called Fix My Speaker, and I thought I’d share it with the community here. It’s designed to help clean your mobile phone speaker without any manual tools or physical cleaning.

The app works by generating specific sound frequencies that vibrate and dislodge dust or small debris stuck inside the speaker grill. I tested it on my phone after experiencing muffled sound due to dust, and it surprisingly improved the clarity without me having to open up the phone or use anything risky like toothpicks or brushes.

Here’s why I think it’s worth trying:

  1. Easy to Use: Just open the app, follow the instructions, and let it do the work for you.
  2. Safe: No risk of damaging internal components since you don’t need to touch anything.
  3. Cost-Effective: It’s a free or low-cost alternative to taking your phone to a technician.
  4. Quick Results: It only takes a few minutes to notice the improvement in sound clarity.
If you’ve got dust clogging your phone speaker or if your sound seems muffled, give this app a try! It’s a great way to fix minor sound issues without investing time and money into repairs.

Have any of you tried similar tools or methods? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for keeping speakers clean and performing their best.

Looking forward to your thoughts! 😊

Hamza,

The app claimed it uses 165Hz, a frequency that actually was not even in the multi-tone sweep it produced.

I would be very surprised if any dust that made it past the screen would be ejected by the tones.

I've used pink noise and frequency sweeps for testing speakers for the last 40 years, and never found any less dust after, though water can be thrown around by a moving speaker diaphragm.
If the speaker is pointed down, the cone movement can help gravity do it's work by fan action.

Real cleaning requires cleaning...
