I know this is the JV part of the forum... but it seems like there is a growing contingent of people who are just waiting for someone... anyone, to mention anything about any digital mixer, digital snake or recording rig, so they can jump up and proclaim the X32 to be the answer to everything.
In this case, the console CLEARLY does not meet his current needs or future needs.... and he even specified a very fair reason why he isn't looking at them... but still he gets replies suggesting to string two of them together! How about the post recently from the local provider who wanted some info about a digital snake system for the LS9 he already owns and makes good ROI on through cross-rentals... what replies did he get? He was told to get rid of his LS9, and replace it with one or more X32 consoles... since they are cheaper, they are clearly the answer to his inquiry.
I have no feelings one way or the other about the actual X32 console... it's seemingly a great deal for a great feature set... but stop trying to shove it down everyones throat just because you decided that it was right for you! We all know they exist... we know what they cost and we know what they can do. Pointing them out as the answer to every single freaking question, including the ones that specifically suggest they are not interested, is starting to get OLD in a hurry... IMO.
