Power issue

Hi guys,

On the weekend I did and an outdoor event with 4 dedicated 20amp circuits for me. I didn't have a big rig with me so I just used 2. My 3 month old furman PL-Plus C displayed a 118v during setup and low level music. When I started to drive the rig harder, the furman was actually going up in volts. It would hit 122ish volts. Typically when you drive a rig harder it goes down, not up. Just trying to figure out what was going on.

Rig:
2x XTI 4000s
Allen & Heath GL 2400
1x Ashley G3102
2x Tascam CD players.

Thanks as always

Re: Power issue

it sounds like you probably had the furman on one phase and the amps maybe on the other?
high current on one phase will pull the neutral voltage toward that phase, making the hot-neutral voltage of the other phase actually go up.
