Questions for 01V power users (hi Brian)

Hi Jay,

I have 01V96s in a couple small venues and one for myself.
All three have MY4-DA cards which have been rock solid.

I have an analog two-channel DBX preamp if I need a couple more XLRs.
I have four ADA8000s. Two work, two don't and are parts donors.(One no longer has a power supply.)
The ADA8000s get used for a few events a month, and the ADAT connections are fine for the plugging and unplugging.
I'll likely try the ADA8200 when it is released, as Behringer appears to be again putting some effort in to service.

If I correctly remember a thread on the 01V96 forum from a couple years ago, sync over ADAT can actually have some benefit over BNC when using one outboard device. When using multiple devices, definitely go BNC.
Lifatec.com used to make nice duplex ADAT cables - a pair that was fused together, with different colored ends.

I have nice wedges and for several years now have been using only the four-band Aux EQ for monitors.
Note that there is a way to stack Aux and Group EQ for eight filters.
If you need the DEQ830 to have graphs at hand, I understand.

I use Andy Broughton's SendsOnFaders which makes monitor mixing pretty quick.

Many of my gigs are under 16 inputs, so I have monitors on one layer, house on the other.
An advantage of this is the ability to use the 'main' faders on the monitor layer through a couple groups for another stereo monitor out.

Have fun and good health, Weogo

Thanks Weogo,

It sounds like you are doing a couple if the things I was thinking of. Good to know they work.
