Replacement for Omnimount 20.5

I'm working on a project mounting a pair of speakers to a sloped ceiling as close to the ceiling as I reasonably can (3-6", less is better)

I went looking to see which of Omnimount's products would work well thinking that one of the variants of the 20.5 ball mount would work well. I discovered that they have discontinued that series. They have new (consumer?) products lines like the Omni 15.0W but when Fullcompass, Markertek and B&H don't recognize that part number and Google only finds 4 sellers I'm less than impressed.

Does any one have a recommendation of an alternate product that "normal" vendors actually stock and sell that will mount a 12 lb speaker close to a sloped ceiling and allow easy adjustment of the aiming?

K+M has a couple of ball-style speaker mounts, and the Allen Multimounts claim pan, tlt, and rotation.

As I read their spec's it looks like rotation is limited to either 0 or 90 degrees. I need a product where this is variable. Do you happen to know if this is variable or just 0 or 90?

Hi Philip,

I have always been a fan of the Peavey Versamount 35 Black and Peavey Versamount 35 White, assuming your loudspeaker has an appropriate mounting bolt pattern to mate with it.

One important key in using these things is to note that the plates should be oriented 90 degrees from one another for maximum flexibility. They do offer 360 degree rotation.

Are there any documents about the bolt pattern for these? I didn't see anything on the Peavey website.

I thought they corresponded to some version of the Omnimount products, but I can't recall specifics at this moment. Let me poke around a bit and see what I can find.
