I have a monster scanner, it's been sat in storage for ever abandoned and collecting dust. Lamp's still good, motor still works, everything still works (albeit with terrifying noises), but I'm thinking a little tlc would not go astray, does anyone know how to go about maintaining one of these things? (It's a "panscan hmi 575" if that means anything to anyone).

From a service point of view, all wiggle lights are pretty similar. They all need the occasional gentle cleaning to remove dust and other grime from the internal parts (optical train, circuit boards, and mechanical linkages), and lubrication *may* be required (although don't add any lubricant unless you know for certain it's the appropriate type). There may be wear items that need to be replaced (such as belts and lamp sockets), and those may be difficult to source. The control electronics, though, typically need very little service unless they get damaged (perhaps by a shorted wiring harness).

All in all, this isn't a difficult task (although it may be time consuming).
